Today, at Balanças Marques, we woke up feeling nostalgic. So, we took our photo album to take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of our family’ special moments. Moments that, to this day, bring us happy memories and bring a smile to our faces and hope in the future.
It’s May. This month it is celebrated the International Day of Families. And, this month, according to plan, we would get together to commemorate our day – the day of the family that constitutes Grupo José Pimenta Marques. But Covid-19 changed everything.
It won’t be possible to celebrate like we usually do. We won’t be able to get together for a day filled with team building activities, good talks and lots of laughs. We won’t be able to gather the whole family – from in and out of the company – around a table decorated with delicious food and stories to share. We won’t be able to spend the night dancing with no worries, nor we will be able to hug whenever we feel like.
We won’t be able to make our tradition come true once again. Yes, our Family Day already has the status of tradition. Even though we have only celebrated it, officially, since 2017, this yearly family reunion has previous roots. It all started when Balanças Marques’ employees decided to organize picnics, gathering colleagues and family members on an event that has been replicated, under different forms, along the years, and that has filled this album with good times, happy memories and beautiful photographs.

An album we decided to revisit today, on some brief minutes of nostalgia that soon turned into hours of laughs and a feeling of hope in the future. Because, with a family like the one on this pictures – with a family like our own – we can only believe that better days are yet to come and that, eventually, we’ll all be able to come together to party, like in good old days.
