At Balanças Marques, September is a synonym to new beginnings. After the summer holidays, it’s time to prepare and go back to work. And, on this year of 2020, it’s also time to hold our head up and face the new challenges the pandemic insists on bringing. As always, we are optimistic, with courage to overcome every obstacle, but, for those harder moments the future may hold, we wrote ourselves a letter to prove it’s possible to leave them behind.
Dear Balanças Marques of the future,
In September 2020, we write you this letter so that, on those bumps on the road, you may remember everything positive about us and of a whole story that, while it’s not exclusively made of high points, it’s a story of success.
When somewhere is your – our – future things are not working out according to plan, due to the coronavirus pandemic or any other crisis, remember everything we already faced. Reread this letter. Have the certainty you can’t just cross your arms because you have many victories ahead from you.
Because you know how to find opportunities among every problem.
If there is something to have learned from the path made since 1967, it is that, most times, there is a way of turning obstacles into new opportunities. Afterall, it was a problem that lead José Pimenta Marques to start his own company and, later, to become a pioneer in the manufacture of metal roman scales.
Therefore, you have more than enough proofs to trust yourself, to trust on your ability to turn things around and to reinvent.
Because, more than a company, you are a family.
Balanças Marques family – your family – is always ready to look the challenges in the eyes. Time has proven it. In face of adversities, it never crossed its arms and it persevered. It kept together. There were no everyday issues or pandemics that threw them apart.
So, you very well know you can count on the resilience of a big group of people to prosper also as a company, in any circumstance.
Because you have conquered a lot and there is more to conquer.
As a company that started in a 15 m2 workshop, you were able to go further than most would expect. Over the years, you were able to mark different territories on your markets’ map and you collected several national and international awards – including the one that distinguishes the best weighing company in the world in 2019.
But there are more dreams to achieve. If you have been through such difficult times and made it here, there is nothing stopping you from keeping up the good work to conquer yet another goal.
Hoping this letter meets its purpose of reminding you what you are made of, we say goodbye, sure that you will always face each problem like a challenge and overcome with distinction.
