At Balanças Marques, we are a Team and a close Family. We work for Innovation and Development. We created a successful company. But we are also part of a Community. So we give back part of the conquests it offers us with an active Social Responsibility policy, where there’s room for all kinds of projects and initiatives.
From Sports to Education, from Health to Equality, there several causes we support. We believe each one has its own weight on the society we are a part of. And, one way or another, whether through sponsorship or the force of human resources, we want to make a difference to create a new world, a better world for everyone:
• We are strategic partners of Escola da Maria.
At Balanças Marques, we support the construction of a more inclusive world. So we are the strategic partners of Escola da Maria. We walk side by side with this project, sharing its goals: helping children with special educative needs and their families and creating a space where inclusion rules the practices.
• We create bounds with University of Minho.
We believe in the talents of the new generations. Each year, more young people join our family. And many of them are alumni (ex-students) of University of Minho, a higher education institution with which we have been collaborating more and more through different initiatives and events, like the Mentorship Programme and START POINT Summit.
• We are a “Donor Company” to the Blood Bank of Braga’s Hospital.
At Balanças Marques, we organize small solidary gestures like this one. Every year, we spare our employees of a few hours of work so that those who can and wish it may go to Braga’s Hospital to donate blood and contribute to save lives.
• We bet on Agrupamento de Escolas de Celeirós.
We value the younger generations. This way, Agrupamento de Escolas de Celeirós, the schools in our area, count on our support for several years. We want to help them give studenst the best possible education and show them that, at Balanças Marques, they will always find an open door to welcome them, when they need.
• We sponsor Sporting Clube de Braga and the handball team ABC.
Around here, we support sports and we believe in the values defended by the several modalities. As such, we offer sponsorship to Sporting Clube de Braga and to the handball team ABC, clubs on the city we have our headquarters, in order to help them continue the great job they have been doing when it comes to sports.
And these are only some of the regular cooperations we make happen to give back to the community every victory it offers us. It’s our way of thanking it and, at the same it, contribute to a better society.
