At Balanças Marques, we decided 2021 would be our Year of Health. But, for us, this always was a matter with weight. So, we organized several initiatives for health.
At Balanças Marques, we believe, as World Health Organization (WHO), that Health is “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. As such, and because we value it so much, we decided that it would be the word of our year in 2021.
But our concern with the matter is not limited to the present. Our benefits policy for the employees and our social responsibility policy show that Health as always been a matter with weight. And our initiatives throughout this year will only help to promote Health, even further!
Find some of the actions we already organized for Health:
- We celebrated World Health Day with our employees.
In 2021, the April 7th – World Health Day – was spent as a Family, at Balanças Marques. To celebrate the date, during the day, we counted on the presence of a nutrition specialist to conseil our employees and clear all their doubts. And to sweeten thei day, we offered a muffin from Prozis with low sugar levels, that came to remind them they can have a tasty and balanced meal.
- We offered a health lunch to our employees on Women’s Day.
Every year, Balanças Marques offers a surprise to their female employees to address Women’s Day. 2021 was no exception. In March 8th, we delivered a healthy lunch to all of them, inviting them to take care of themselves with a balanced meal and a moment of true rest, necessary for their well-being.
- We support several causes related to Health.
Balanças Marques has been investing in solidarity projects and that support the community for quite some time. As Donor Company of Braga’s Hospital’s Blood Bank, every year, we give our employees the time to donate part of themselves to save others. As strategic partners of Escola da Maria, we have been helping this project to grow, aiming for the wellness and inclusion of children with special educative needs.
- We have a benefits policy that focuses on the health and well-being of employees.
At Balanças Marques, we invest in our employees and support them in all parts of their lives. We want them to feel good and healthy, to have a good balance between their personal and professional sides. Therefore, in addition to the protocols that offer discounts on various health services (pharmacy, medical specialties, etc.), we also have a benefits policy that focuses on your well-being. Here we provide water and fruit in the leisure spaces, we give them the day off on their birthdays and we offer functional training classes on the premises.
